Carmella Gitanjali Baynie
Australian Sacred Music singer songwriter, longtime Yogi, voice and meditation facilitator. Carmella Gitanjali Baynie was immersed in the Aramaic chants of her Father’s Father from birth. Classically trained in eastern and western music, her musical journey has taken her from churches and the Australasian and Japanese pop charts, to temples and mantra meditation music. Her music is a rich blend of these influences, creating an electronic folk style, with ambient atmospherics, angelic choral anthems in English and in sacred languages, Latin, Sanskrit, Bengali and Aramaic. Carmella performed regularly across China for over a decade, immersed in fusion with traditional Chinese instrumentalists and artists.
